When it comes to phone configurations for free browsing, somethings has to be put in considerations:
1. The phone operating system/platform.
2. The Product and modem.
OPERATING SYSTEM/PLATFORM
Mobile phones are practically divided into
A. S40
B. S60
The S40 platforms are refers the java phones while the S60 are symbian phones, under the S60 phones we have the S60v2, S60v3, S60V5 and symbian Anna.
CONFIGURATIONS
I like to divide this aspect into two part for easy understanding.
- S40 Configurations for free browsing is highly technical and can be pretty complex if you are going into it for the first time. Here are the things to be remembered.
You must have what is called PROV FILE (Java proxy settings), this settings can be generated via pc or online. I will be uploading some of those settings and the pc setup of it soonest, but it can be generated from
here but ip and port are required to generate this settings.
Here are the defauth ip and port for the various communication network in nigeria.

When this settings is generated and downloaded, it must be sent into non java proxy device like china phone or pc and then push or send via bluetooth to the phone that is to be use configured, the reason is that if it is sent to java proxy device it is acepted as a configuration setting and is saved to settings, there is also a need to set it as defauth to take effect. After this has being done, the application to be used is also required, download any java editable application like operamini, bolt or ucweb into the phone and it will be left with one step to free browsing on s60 phone.
